McGregor, Carlene Jean (nee Baldelli)
June 23rd, 1956 - May 12th, 2024 (67 years)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carlene Jean McGregor (nee Baldelli) at Extendicare York in Sudbury on Sunday May 12th, 2024 at the age of 67 years. Daughter to the late Delmo and Jenny Baldelli. Loving wife and soulmate to the late Lawrence McGregor. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Tacie McGregor (Michael) and son Scott McGregor and brother Randy Baldelli. “Baba” will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Zakary, Keegan, Dylan, Jennifer, Morgan, Haylie, Payton, Audrey and her fur baby Shelby.
She will be greatly missed by her many cousins, aunts and uncles and her sister friends.
Carlene was born in Sudbury Ontario on June 23, 1956. In her early years, she resided in Copper Cliff and in the New Sudbury Area. She worked for many years at Coca Cola Bottling’ and she loved her career. She met the love of her life Lawrence “hitch hiking” and they married in May of 1977.
Carlene will be remembered mostly for her “straight up” personality, beautiful smile and always going all out with amazing feasts when she would host gatherings. Carlene was most happy spending time with her family and friends and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. She loved baking, reading, playing cards, and needle point and could often be found at the local bingo hall with her bingo dabbers and good luck charms.
The family wishes to thank the outstanding doctors, nurses, PSW’s and staff at Extendicare York (third floor) and her wonderful friend and roommate Debra for making her final days comfortable.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no service or funeral. Arrangements have been entrusted with Simple Wishes of the North. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Maison McCulloch Hospice. A celebration of life for both Carlene and Larry will be arranged in the next few weeks.
