Lisa Lampanelli is the headliner for the 2017 edition of the Laugh Out Loud (LOL) Sudbury Comedy Festival, organizers announced Tuesday.

The LOL Sudbury Comedy Festival runs March 18-26.

Lampanelli will close out the festival on Sunday, March 26 at the Fraser Auditorium starting at 7 p.m.

One of the most high-profile insult comics, Lampanelli is a cross between Don Rickles, Archie Bunker, and a vial of estrogen, said a press release from LOL Sudbury.

She is known for her outrageous pot shots at celebrities, as well as references to her own weight and sexuality. Her acid wit and boisterous delivery has won many fans, and has won her the nickname “Comedy’s Lovable Queen of Mean.”

Lampanelli has been a regular at celebrity roasts, and has quite a few television and film appearances under her belt. She recently shot her fifth stand-up special, "Back to the Drawing Board," proving this insult comic is new, improved, and funnier than ever, the press release said.

LOL Sudbury has also released the rest of its lineup Tuesday.

Fans of the hit Crave TV show "Letterkenny" will be happy to know the cast of the show will appear in a March 18 show called “A Night of Letterkenny Comedy,” also at the Fraser Auditorium.

There's also a number of club comedy shows being staged at The Durham Social throughout the festival.

Presale tickets will be available on Thursday, Feb. 2 at 10 a.m.

Access to presale ticket code will be available through LOL Sudbury's Facebook page.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Feb. 3 at 10 a.m. at lolsudbury.com and over the phone at 705-688-1234.
