Winner of multiple awards including the Mississauga Arts Awards, winning the established solo vocalist award in 2022, Leask is also well known for travelling while playing a guitar called Canada’s most historical instrument. Made by Jowi Taylor and finished in 2006, the guitar nicknamed ‘Voyageur’ and its strap and case are a tribute to Canada, and Leask released his seventh album, “Voyageur in Song”, while playing it.

You can read more about the guitar here.

A release from Leask’s promotional team states that Leask will bring his “groove-based interpretations” of Scottish tunes such as Loch Lomond, Wild Mountain Thyme, and Caledonia and combine them with his “eclectic Celtic soul originals.”

Accompanying Leask on flute, whistle, accordion and saxophone will be multi-instrumentalist Sean O’Connor.

General admission tickets are $25 and on sale now at DerekYoungMarketing.com. Knox Hall doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show will start at 7 p.m.
