Greater Sudbury Fire Services extinguished a fire that caught in the back of a disposal truck earlier this afternoon.
Deputy Fire Chief Jesse Oshell tweeted just after 1:30 p.m. today that crews were dispatched to Mountain Street, which is east of Notre Dame Avenue and runs off Louis Street.
Oshell said the contents of an Environmental 360 Solutions Ltd. (E360S) disposal truck caught fire. With a head office in Aurora, Ont., E360S has an office on Magill Street in Sudbury. The company’s distinctive yellow vehicles are highly visible.
“Crews from @CGSFireServices quickly contained the fire, protecting the truck and adjacent buildings,” Oshelle tweeted. No injuries were reported.”
What caused the contents of the trucks to spark remains under investigation.
