Rainbow Concrete is under several Ministry of Labour orders after a dump truck driver was killed on company property Feb. 15.
“On Feb. 17, our ministry inspectors issued two orders and one requirement to Rainbow Concrete,” said ministry spokesperson Janet Deline.
“The orders are 'do not place material that could tip, collapse or fall,' and we have a stop work order that's in place until that has been complied with and then one requirement for some documentation.”
The incident is under investigation by the Ministry of Labour. Rainbow Concrete said in a statement issued last week that it's also doing its own internal investigation.
The victim's identity has not been released, nor have any details on the nature of the incident that led to the death. However, Rainbow Concrete did confirm that the victim was a male employee of the company.
