Our Dad/Poppa/Storyteller, Douglas Gunn, has passed. He is free from all of the difficulties he was facing and left this world with a bunch of people loving him. He lived his life exactly as he wanted in many regards. Sometimes it made him hard to love and other times proud to love. He had a penchant for fishing, cross country skiing, hunting, and telling you a good story about these things he enjoyed. He held dear to his Finn side and his Scottish side. He believed firmly in travelling and seeing all you have a chance to see. He believed there’s always time for crosswords, cards, and looking at pictures. He saw great value in education and was a voracious reader. He kept his sharp mind until the end. He was difficult to love at times, but nobody can deny that there was something about him that we’ll miss forever.

Memorial visitation will be held at the Lougheed Funeral Home, Hanmer/Capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Drive, Hanmer where friends may gather from 2-4pm on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022.
