Updated at 7:55 p.m.: The OPP tweeted has cleared the scene in Highway 69 where an Esso fuel truck caught fire this afternoon, closing the highway.

The Ontario Provincial Police have closed Highway 69 in both directions as firefighters deal with a fuel truck that has caught fire near the entrance of the Richard Lake Motel.

There's no word on injuries or how long the highway will be closed.

A witness told Sudbury.com the firefighters seem to have the fire under control.
