Guaranteed $1,000 reward: Crime Stoppers looking for tips on June explosion, fire

Suspect was observed in the area on a motorized sport bike prior to the explosion

Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers, in conjunction with the Greater Sudbury Police Service, are seeking the public’s assistance in providing information relating to a suspicious fire and explosion in Blezard Valley this past June.

Shortly after 1 a.m. on June 23, an explosion occurred at a residence on Menard Street in Blezard Valley. As a result of the explosion, the residence became consumed by flames, causing extensive damage. No one was injured as a result of the incident.

Prior to the incident, a lone suspect was observed attending the area, operating a motorized sport bike.

The same suspect was observed leaving the area minutes later.

Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers and the Greater Sudbury Police Service are requesting the public’s assistance in an effort to gather information about the incident and to identify the person seen attending the area at that time.

Crime Stoppers and the Greater Sudbury Police Service are convinced someone has information that would solve this crime. 

A guaranteed minimum $1,000 reward is being offered for tips received by Crime Stoppers before midnight on Oct. 26 that lead to the arrest of the person who committed this crime.

The $1,000 reward would be divided if multiple tips that lead to a resolution are received. For tips received after the deadline, the standard process for determining reward amounts will apply.
