URWIN, Norman Ronald - The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Ottawa, Wednesday, September 19th, 2019 at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband of Lois Ann Urwin (née McNally) wife of 45 years. Predeceased by parents Elsie Harris, Floyd Harris and Thomas Urwin. Loving father to Frank Murphy (Avis), Robert Urwin (Sandra), Katherine Walker |(Don). Cherished Papa to Tyler Walker (Michelle), Travis Walker (Lauren Berdock), Ashley Walker, Drew Dolynchuk (predeceased) and Megan Urwin and Great grandchildren Darren Walker and Reid Walker. Brother of Dennis Urwin (predeceased, Betty), Brian Harris (Christina), Douglas Harris and Donald Shears. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Norman worked at INCO for 33 years and retired in 1994. Norm was a natural athlete and enjoyed many sports. He was a kind, loving gentle soul, who always had a smile and gave big bear hugs. Norm loved his trips to sunny Florida where he spent his days golfing. Norm also liked his beer and a good cigar.
In keeping with Norman's wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
