An 11-year-old girl is dead after attempting to cross Highway 11 in Iroquois Falls while driving a snowmachine.
The Iroquois Falls OPP say they were called to the scene on Feb. 1 just before 1 p.m. The collision occurred on Highway 11 at Pipeline Road, south of the northeastern Ontario community.
The OPP said a commercial vehicle struck the snowmachine the girl was driving as she attempted to cross the highway.
Amanda Huxley, 11, of Burlington, was transported to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
