A North Bay man with a penchant for throwing objects when angry is facing numerous charges.

Police say that in the morning of April 29, following an argument between the man and his female partner in their shared home, he threw an unknown object at her, which struck her, causing pain.

Then on June 19, following another argument in the same residential setting, he threw a framed photograph against the wall, causing the frame to shatter. He then threatened to harm someone close to the victim.

On June 24, following another argument between the two, he threw a shoe and a roll of toilet paper at her. He then physically assaulted her, causing her pain.

Police add that for a number of days, the accused deprived the victim of food.

Following his arrest at their shared residence, he was taken to police headquarters and held in custody for a bail hearing.

On Saturday, following an investigation into a 9-1-1 call reporting a domestic dispute North Bay Police arrested and charged a 45-year old North Bay man with:

  • Three counts of assault with a weapon;
  • One count of mischief under $5,000;
  • One count of uttering threats to cause bodily harm;
  • One count of assault; and
  • One count of failing to provide the necessaries of life.
