Canada remains unbeaten at World Women's Curling Championship in North Bay

'I made a really big shot for three which felt great and we played really well'

Team Canada remained unbeaten and improved to 6-0 in a tough tilt against Scotland.

Canada managed to get a steal in the tenth end to win the game 8-6.

Scotland led the match 6-4 after six ends of play, until Canada scored three points in the seventh end to gain momentum and eventually the victory in front of another packed and energetic Memorial Gardens pro-Canadian crowd.

Canada got up early 3-0 after three ends but the Scottish team skipped by Hanna Fleming, scored two in the third and three in the fifth to take a lead.

Canada battled back with three of their own in the seventh.

“I made a really big shot for three which felt great and we played really well,” said Team Canada Skip Jennifer Jones to the media after the win.

“You don't need any extra motivation at a world championship that’s for sure, all the teams are great and we play those teams [Korea and Sweden] and they’re great. So, we’ll see what we can do tomorrow.”

Canada faces Korea and 2 p.m. and then in the battle of the unbeaten, they will take on Sweden in one of the most anticipated draws of the week.  That match will take place at 7 p.m.
