A former North Bay man has been charged with online luring and child pornography.

The 30 year old was arrested in Mississauga and charged with "Internet Luring," and "Possessing child pornography" following an investigation by North Bay police.

Between December 26th, 2015 and January 10th, 2016, a man posed as a woman in her mid-40s on the dating application Tinder to communicate with a teenage boy on the internet, according to police.

The man communicated online with the teen using the pseudonym “Tracy Giles” and email address [email protected]. He convinced the teen to send an image that meets the criminal code definition of child pornography.

Members of the North Bay Police Service Criminal Investigation Section and the Peel Regional Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit executed a search warrant at the man’s home in Mississauga on February 15th.

He was arrested and several computers, cell phones, and data storage devices were seized and will undergo computer forensic examinations.

As a result, 30 year old Darryl Michael Wesley has been charged with Internet luring and for possessing child pornography. Wesley was held in custody for a bail hearing.

The investigation is ongoing and police are now seeking other possible victims who may have been contacted online.

Police are asking that if anyone has had any contact with “Tracy Giles” online or knows of anyone else who may have been in contact with this profile to contact Detective Constable Jason Long at (705) 497-5586.

If you are aware of a child at immediate risk of online sexual assault or exploitation, call 9-1-1 immediately or call the North Bay Police Service at 705-497-5555.
