CP investigating train derailment in Northern Ontario

SULTAN — CP Rail is investigating the cause of a Friday train derailment in Northern Ontario. 

According to Andy Cummings, CP Rail media relations manager, the mixed freight train derailed near Sultan around 6:30 a.m. March 20. 

"There were no injuries and there are no public safety concerns. There are no spills or leaks," he wrote in an email.

He said the company immediately sent a team to the site. The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
