OPP are asking the public to be cautious about letting strangers into your home.

On Tuesday, Orillia OPP investigated a sexual assault.

Seems the attacker knocked on the victim's door asking to inspect her furnace. She let the man into her home and was then sexually assaulted.

The investigation is continuing, however police are warning the public to always use caution when people are coming to their door soliciting.

OPP is releasing the following description of the suspect in this investigation:

  • Male
  • Light brown skin, dark brown hair, brown eyes
  • 5'7" - 5'9" tall
  • Thin build
  • Clean shaven

Always ask for and verify their identification, say police. It would be safer not to allow people into your home unless you arranged the appointment yourself.
