Girl, 15, found dead at Big Grassy River First Nation

BIG GRASSY RIVER FIRST NATION, Ont. — Ontario Provincial Police and the Treaty Three Police Service have identified the female whose body was found in the community of Mishkosiminiziibiing on June 13.

She was 15-year-old Autumn Andy, a resident of the community about 125 kilometres northwest of Fort Frances.

The youth's body was located behind an outdoor skating rink.

She had been reported missing earlier.

In a news release Monday, OPP said police are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.

A post mortem exam was completed at the Office of the Chief Coroner and Forensic Pathology Service in Toronto, but the results are not being made public.
