PARRY SOUND — Thieves are usually quick to flee the scene, but this time homeowners returned to find a man sitting in their garage drinking a beer.
OPP say the incident happened in Seguin Twp, just south of Parry Sound on July 30.
"At approximately 7:30 a.m., the owners of a residence on Rose Point Road in Seguin Township returned home to find a person sitting in their garage drinking a beer. The owners also noted that the person had been inside the residence as the interior was disturbed," says an OPP release.
After conducting an investigation: OPP arrested and charged a 34-year-old man of no current address with:
Break and enter a dwelling house - commit an indictable offence
- Unlawfully in a dwelling house
- Mischief - interfere with any person in the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property - under $5,000
- Theft under $5,000
He is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing in Parry Sound on August 5.
