INNISFIL - South Simcoe Police were called to Innisfil Beach Park around 2 a.m. this morning, after a woman playing PokemonGo reported that a car had almost hit her as she stood in a parking lot.
While officers spoke to the woman, the car returned.
The driver admitted to driving the car while playing the game, and said he didn't see the woman while turning.
The game playing public are reminded that safety comes first while using your phone.
While the driver cannot be charged for using his phone in this instance, he would still be responsible for his actions had a collision occurred. Please play responsibly!
