No new forest fires have been confirmed in the northeast region this afternoon, Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services stated in a release issued today.
Currently, there are six active fires in the region, all of which are under control - including the two fires of note in the Northeast:
- Kirkland Lake 6 and Cochrane 15.
The fire hazard in the Northeast Region is mostly low to moderate, except for the northern portion of the Chapleau sector and parts of the Cochrane sector that are maintaining a high hazard this afternoon.
