No new forest fires in the northeast region

There are currently 15 active fires in the region, 12 of which are under control

No new fires have been discovered in the Northeast region as of this evening, Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services stated in a release issued this evening.

Currently, there are 15 active fires in the region. 12 of these are under control, two are being held, and Cochrane 6 remains the only fire which is not under control at 5 hectares.

The fire hazard in areas of the region situated north of Temagami and east of Chapleau is mostly moderate to high, as well as in areas south of Mattawa and east of Nobel. Elsewhere in the northeast region, the fire hazard is low to moderate.
