The transformation is complete as the North Bay Memorial Gardens is now covered in pebbled ice in anticipation for another major curling event.
The Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling event will go from Tuesday through Sunday, October 9 for the championship game.
Rick Miller, the co-chair for the event, says the preparations are complete and now it's time for some curling.
"It has been really good, I mean we have great volunteers, great ice crew from John Wall who put the ice in that Sportsnet brings in," explained Miller. "Everything is going well and the ice will be ready for 6 p.m. for practice tonight."
Organizers say ticket sales for the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling event have been solid, but no sellouts yet.
"Ticket sales have been good, they are on budget with what we budgeted," said Miller.
"There are still lots of tickets available for all the draws so people can walk up and buy them for any draw or they can go online and buy them all through the box office."

North Bay has been here before, hosting two high-profile curling events including the Women's World Curling Championships in the spring of 2018 followed by a Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling event in the fall of 2019.
While COVID-19 put a halt to fan-filled events like this, Miller says that may have helped create additional excitement for this event
"I kind of think in a lot of ways we are more excited about it, because of the two-year lull and we have not had big events," said Miller.
"I know the Sportsnet people are super excited because they had a half-season last year because they were not full events and so on."
Miller says the players are excited too.
"They love to play in front of fans and they love big crowds and they love this building," said Miller.
"It is a big deal for them I think it's more exciting in a lot of ways."
