The Ontario Provincial Police have charged a North Bay woman after the death of a 54-year-old female resident of a home last July.
The woman is charged with failing to provide the necessities of life in connection to the death, which occurred while she was being bathed.
Last summer, North Bay Police asked the OPP for help with the investigation, which took place at an unnamed residential home in that city.
"The OPP has charged one person as a result of an investigation conducted by members of the North Bay OPP Crime Unit and North East Region Forensic Identification Services," Const. Jennifer Smith is quoted as saying in a news release.
The suspect was released on a promise to appear with conditions and is scheduled to be in a North Bay court March 5.
