Northern pizza joint's 'unforeseen circumcisions' typo goes viral

It even made the cut for George Takei of Star Trek fame to tweet about
The Timmins Pizza Hut's typo is going viral.

TIMMINS — We've all been victims of autocorrect and an unforeseen typo in a message to customers is going viral.

Earlier this week, Pizza Hut in Timmins closed its doors at the last minute and posted a sign about the "unforeseen circumcisions" on the door. You read that right.

The post was shared in local Facebook groups and quickly gained traction.

"In light of recent circumstances," the restaurant got in on the joke the next day and even offered a deal  — "no tip required."

With the deadline for the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation 50/50 draw closing in, it got in on the fun.

"Hey Timmins Pizza Hut….stick to Pizza, we’ll handle the circumcisions!" they wrote in a Facebook post.

A photo of the typo made its way to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, and is now even George Takei-approved.

"Typos are my worst enema!" wrote the Star Trek actor.

His tweet has been seen thousands of times. The comments are exactly what you'd expect.
