Workplace Safety North (WSN) is seeking members to fill three vacant positions on its board of directors.

The occupational health and safety organization provides training, consulting and rescue services for the mining, forestry, pulp and paper, printing, and converting sectors. Its board advocates to prioritize health and safety in Ontario workplaces.

Ideally, board members will have experience in one of WSN’s primary industries — mining, forestry, pulp and paper, printing and converting — or expertise in the areas of financial/accounting, legal, human resources, information technology, serving on not-for-profit boards, or occupational health and safety.

Directors are expected to regularly attend board meetings, participate on committees, and attend board orientation meetings for new directors.

WSN is currently looking for three people to serve three-year terms, which will last between 2022 and 2025.

More information on the requirements and the application process is available here.

The deadline to apply is April 1.
