One dead in ATV crash near North Bay

MUNICIPALITY OF EAST FERRIS, ON - The Ontario Provincial Police is investigating an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) collision left a 36-year old North Bay man dead.

Police say the collision occurred on on Nosbonsing Park Road, Municipality of East Ferris.

Initial investigation revealed that there were two occupants on the ATV when it collided with a tree. 

OPP responded to the collision at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 18.

The passenger, 34 year old male from Beamsville, Ontario, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by North Bay District Ambulance.

Both occupants of the ATV were not wearing helmets at the time of the collision.

The OPP are continuing the investigation with the assistance of Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI).
