One new wildfire ignited in Cochrane District, Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry (MNDMNRF) said in today's release.
Parry Sound 9, a 0.1-hectare wildfire, was located west of Cantin Lake. It has been declared out.
MNDMNRF also confirmed another fire by late afternoon.
- Sudbury 18 fire is situated in Prince Edward County on the western shore of West Lake. It is not under control.
In total, there are two active wildfires in the northeast region.
