Photos: SUV driven into 'apparent sinkhole' in Timmins

Police say no one was injured

TIMMINS — A Timmins driver got more than they bargained for driving into a puddle early on June 21.

Instead of a puddle, the driver of a Toyota Venza found an "apparent sinkhole" on Bonaventure Drive, said Timmins Police.

No one was injured, but there is some damage to the vehicle.

"City crews are hard at the job of repairing the roadway," said police.

TimminsToday reached out to the city for more details. They said a staffer wasn't available for comment until tomorrow. No further details were provided.
