Police have received new video surveillance in Mandy Thompson's disappearance and are now appealing to a tow truck driver to come forward.

The new security cam video shows a black tow truck parked on Penetanguishene Road near Napoleon Home Comfort on Friday, Feb. 3, 10:59 a.m.

Investigators believe the tow truck had been hooking up a vehicle and want to speak with the driver in efforts to obtain any further information that may help locate Mandy.

A woman believed to be the missing senior was captured on video surveillance walking northbound on Penetanguishene Road on Friday, Feb. 3, at 10 a.m.

The 72-year-old with dementia has the ability to travel a significant distance in a short period of time, according to police.

Anyone living in the areas being searched are urged to thoroughly check their properties including barns, sheds, vehicles, garages and any receptacles on their properties.

The large-scale, joint forces efforts involving Barrie Police Service and the OPP will resume this morning in Oro-Medonte.

Police Search and Rescue Teams have been conducting ground searches on foot, snowmobile, K9 and in the air with a drone and the OPP helicopter.

Investigators will be canvassing residential neighbourhoods and businesses along Penetanguishene Road and throughout the northeast end of Barrie.

Basically everyone in Barrie is urged to check their properties for the missing senior.

Mandy is described as:
    •    5'8
    •    Medium build
    •    Short red/brown hair
    •    Brown eyes
    •    Wearing a black knee length jacket, white sweater, jeans and white running shoes.

Police have set up a tip line at (705) 725-7025 ext. 2160 for anyone who may have information on Mandy Thompson. Anonymous tips can also be provided to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or anonymously online at www.tipsubmit.com.
