Youth services have been called in after a child at a school in La Pêche showed his teacher a bag of marijuana.
The five-year-old told his teacher, "look what Mom put in my bag." He showed the teacher a bag containing a few grams of cannabis.
Police were called to the school to confiscate the marijuana, and the boy's parents have been reprimanded but not punished.
A news release from the police says that steps were taken with the parents, but that no charges were laid.
The child involved also has two young brothers.
