A large black bear has been spotted in the area of the North Bay Waterfront this morning around 6.
Police say the bear appears to be pregnant and is unafraid of human contact.
It is not aggressive at this time but citizens are reminded to exercise extreme caution if the animal is observed and not approach it .
The bear was last seen heading down the waterfront toward St Joseph’s Motherhouse on Main St West.
