All of the areas around the Timmins 1 fire are now open.

As of Tuesday morning, the implementation order restricting access to certain roads and Crown land in the Shining Tree area was revoked.

While the Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry says all of the areas around the fire are open, fire crews are still working in the area.

Timmins 1 was confirmed on May 10 two kilometres southeast of Morin Village and half of a kilometre north of Barager's Lake. As of yesterday, it was being held at 1,445 hectares.
