THUNDER BAY -- A sign making explosive claims against the Thunder Bay Police Service has disappeared.

The sign, written on a bed sheet and tied to a bridge along Fort William Road, states: "Dear TBPS: Stop throwing people in river."

Earlier this week a Facebook user with the name Mike Shewaybick posted an accusation that police threw a woman into the river, then took her to jail.

A Thunder Bay Police spokesman said they would not make public comment about the sign. Neither accusation has been corroborated.

The sign appears to have been hung on Wednesday night.

It's also not clear if the two incident are related.
