A bicyclist was assaulted at the intersection of Salter and Dutrisac Streets in Sturgeon Falls last week, and now OPP have laid charges.
On May 5, at 3:35 p.m., Nipissing West officers responded to a report of an assault.
The investigation showed that the cyclist was approached by the man and assaulted. The victim was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.
Police gave no information on the circumstances surrounding the attack.
A 31-year-old Garden River man was arrested and is charged with:
- Assault
- Failing to comply with a probation order
He was released by way of an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on July 16 in North Bay.
