Teen accused of tossing trailer hitch, injuring woman in Thunder Bay

Eighteen-year-old suspect turns himself into police

THUNDER BAY -- An arrest has been made in an alleged assault on two women involving a trailer hitch.

Thunder Bay Police on Sunday night said an 18-year-man turned himself in to police headquarters after being contacted by detectives on Saturday.

Brayden Bushby was remanded into custody in the case and charged with aggravated assault.

Police said the two women were walking on Jan. 28 on Cameron Street near McKenzie Avenue when the passenger in a passing vehicle hurled the trailer hitch, striking one of the women, sending her to hospital with serious internal injuries.

The trailer hitch was then seized as evidence by police.

Police credited the assistance and cooperation of the public for helping bring the suspect into custody.

None of the allegations have been proven in court.
