Thunder Bay woman escapes attempted abduction

Thunder Bay Police are investigating a report of an attempted abduction of a 38-year-old female on the city’s south side.

THUNDER BAY - Police are investigating a possible attempted abduction on the city’s south side.

According to a Thunder Bay Police media release, patrol officers received a report of a 38-year-old woman being approached by a vehicle in the area of Syndicate Avenue and Isabella Street just before 11:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The male occupants of the vehicle offered the woman a ride and when she refused, one of the males grabbed her by the arm. The woman was able to free herself and run to a friend’s residence nearby. The woman did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

The suspect vehicle is described as a bluish/green newer model Toyota Sequoia with dark tinted windows. The two occupants are described as black males and one of the males was described as being tall and thin with very short hair and speaking with a heavy accent.
