The board is in receipt of Inspector McGinn’s intention to retire at the end of the month, marking the conclusion to a 39-year career in public service with the Timmins Police.

With his wife Kim in attendance and a number of his colleagues standing by, Insp. McGinn was humble and articulate as he addressed the board.

His biography was presented to the board by Chief John Gauthier which highlighted a career with many significant achievements.

On what is a daily basis at the Timmins Police Service, Inspector McGinn is called upon to provide leadership, guidance, and patient oversight on a variety of policing challenges basing his direction on years of experience.

The void created by his absence will be significant.

With this in mind, the Timmins Police Service bids inspector McGinn a fond farewell and deep gratitude for his years of exemplary service.
