SCHREIBER, Ont. — Ontario Provincial Police have charged two Toronto men with stunt driving and with failing to buckle up the children that were travelling in their vehicles.

The charges were laid late Monday night after a traffic stop on Highway 17 near Terrace Bay.

A patrolling officer had spotted two westbound vehicles being driven at speeds over 140 kilometres an hour in a 90-kilometre zone.

After stopping the cars, the officer observed that an infant in one vehicle was not properly secured, and that a child in the second vehicle was not properly secured. The driver of that vehicle was also driving without a licence.

In addition to charges under the Highway Traffic Act, both motorists had their cars impounded for seven days.
