Beata Paciorek, the Brampton woman police say was recently murdered and found in the back a U-Haul truck in Sault Ste. Marie, leaves behind two children and a mourning group of family and friends.
A Gofundme page created by the father of Paciorek’s daughter, Jason Simoes, reads as follows:
We just found out that my daughter's mother has been murdered. My wife and I have been doing the best we can to console her during this difficult time. We are truly at a loss for words and would really appreciate help with her funeral costs as well as for her daughter that is going to have to go through counseling to help her cope with the loss of her mother. She also leaves behind an 8-year-old son, her mother, and her brother. Any amount is appreciated.
A Toronto Star news report described Paciorek as being a ‘sweetheart that got involved with the wrong crowd’.
The report mentioned that Paciorek suffered from multiple sclerosis, and that she at one point had been involved with drugs.
The article quoted Monica Alexander, identified as godmother to both of Paciorek’s children.
“When I look back to before Beata got involved with a certain crowd, she … wasn’t a selfish person at all,” said Alexandra in the report. “No matter if she was down to her last dollar, she was always the type of person to give.”
Simoes said he plans to release more details including funeral arrangements Monday afternoon.
Other friends close to Paciorek said they are holding a separate private memorial in the backyard of a home this evening.
As previously reported on Saturday, Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested Amy MacDonald, 37, and Mike Madill, 28, and charged them with first degree murder in relation to Paciorek’s death.
They are being held in Sault Ste. Ste. Marie until their bail hearing on May 29.
Peel Regional Police are also expected to release more information today.
