The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and several national stores have recalled several products from their shelves and online shops following multiple Health Canada warnings.

Great Value chicken burgers

Among the recalls are the Great Value brand of chicken burgers from Belmont Meat Products Ltd. that are sold nationally at Walmart and on Walmart’s website.

The recall is due to the possibility of the product containing egg that is not declared on the label.

People with an egg allergy should not consume the recalled product.

Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.

The recall was triggered by Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) test results.

CFIA said it is conducting an investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.

The agency is also verifying that stores will be removing the recalled product from its shelves.

2021-12-05 recall 1

Consumers are asked to stop using several Old Spice and Secret Antiperspirant aerosol products due to the presence of benzene.

According to Health Canada, benzene is classified as a human carcinogen.

Exposure to benzene can happen by inhalation, orally or through the skin and it can result in cancer such as leukemia and blood cancer of the bone marrow and blood disorders, which can be life-threatening.

However, the Environment Protection Agency (EPA) said that daily exposure to benzene in the recalled products at the levels detected in testing would not be expected to cause adverse health consequences.

As of Nov. 24, the company hasn’t received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of the products in Canada.

Consumers are told to immediately stop using the recalled product, throw them away and contact the company for reimbursement.

Zoom 360 Ultralight jogging strollers

2021-12-05 recall 2

The Zoom 360 Ultralight jogging stroller which is sold on Amazon and BuyBuyBaby.com, is also among the recalls.

Joovy, the makers of the product, say the front fork may get stuck and stop turning or become detached after excessive use, which can lead to a falling risk.

The strollers in question were sold from March 2020 to October 2020, and according to Joovy, 9,200 units were sold during that time.

So far, there have been 25 incident cases reported, including nine that involved the front wheel detaching.

Consumers are told to stop using the stroller and contact Joovy to receive the free repair kit, which can be used to replace the components in the front wheel fork for the stroller.
