Have you been watching people participate in organized soccer, hockey, football, and wonder, “Why isn’t there a league for me?”

If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, we’ve got some big news for you! City’s World and Pinnacle Sports have partnered up to bring you King of the 705, an organized competition designed as a league for Northern Ontario youth and young adults to participate in extreme sports.

King of the 705 provides an organized league for extreme sports enthusiasts to strut their stuff, win prizes, and gain some extra notoriety amongst the community.

Here's how it works:

Every week, anyone can enter up to a 60-second video, by posting the Youtube link of their video on Pinnacle Sports’ Facebook page (www.facebook.com/Chewbah). The title of the video must be: your name, Pinnacle King of the 705 week ___.

For every 10 people that like an uploaded video, an additional point is awarded.

Pinnacle judges will also award points on difficulty, consequence, and most importantly, style.

A panel of three judges will award 10 points in each of these three categories, and then the judges' scores will be averaged. Bonus points will be awarded for nailing the judge-designated “trick of the week.” The total points are tallied at the end of each week, with prizes going out to monthly winners and the year-long champion.

Who can participate?

Anybody can be involved with King of the 705. It is a web-based competition, so anybody can enter videos from anywhere. There are two divisions, Youth (under 18), and Adult (18+), with prizes being awarded to the top point earner from each division at the end of each month.

To keep up to date with current scores, rankings, and archived videos, check out the King of the 705 page on City’s World (citysworld.blogspot.ca).

Even if you don’t want to submit videos, you can still be a part of the action by viewing and “liking” the videos that other people submit. Likes = points, and a larger audience would encourage other people to join, helping the competition grow.

Also, Pinnacle has occasional giveaways, where they draw names of people who “like” videos, and “like” their page.

How amazing does this sound? Check it out today!
