Emily Sheppard is described as a kind, selfless member of the community and an exceptional nurse practitioner, often putting the needs of others before her own.
Despite the loss of both her mother and mother-in-law in the last year, Emily still shows up for others and maintains a positive attitude.
The team at Sudbury.com wanted to do something extra-special for Emily, to brighten her day and acknowledge her positive contributions to our community.
She was truly surprised when she saw the Sudbury.com team show up at her place of work to deliver some well-deserved gifts.
She was even more surprised, holding back tears, when she realized her whole family had shown up to be present for the surprise as well.
“I wasn’t expecting it at all,” Emily said. “I’m so appreciative that they did all of this on my behalf. I want to thank my sister for this and let her know how much she means to me.”
“Despite all of the obstacles she has overcome, Emily still manages to keep smiling and giving back to others. This Random Act of Kindness is my way of giving back to her,” said Irene Dembek, Emily’s sister and nominator.
“There are so many examples of how she creates a positive impact on the lives of her friends and family. Too many to mention,” she added.
