Here are the municipal services impacted by Nov. 11

The observance of Remembrance Day on Nov. 11 will impact several municipal services in Greater Sudbury.

The following services will be impacted:

  • Libraries, Citizen Service Centres, Tom Davies Square and the Greater Sudbury Animal Shelter are closed.
  • Greater Sudbury pools and fitness facilities are closed.
  • Landfills and transfer sites are open .
  • The Recycling Centre is open.
  • Collection of garbage, recycling, Green Carts and leaf and yard trimmings is unaffected.
  • GOVA Transit will follow regular routes and schedules.

On Nov. 11, 311 Live Web Chat ( 311.greatersudbury.ca ) will not be available. Call 311 for urgent public works or animal control. Register to submit service requests at any time on the Customer Service Portal at 311.greatersudbury.ca or email [email protected].

City social media accounts are not monitored on municipal holidays.

The 2024 Civic Remembrance Day ceremony, presented by the Royal Canadian Legion, will take place at the Sudbury Community Arena at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 11. 

GOVA will offer free transportation to the ceremony. Residents are asked to let the driver know they are attending.
