As directed by council in April, 2022, the City of Greater Sudbury is undertaking a review of its French Language Services Policy. The policy was adopted in 2001, with the commitment to offer services and communications in both English and French.
A release from the city states that in order “to continue to meet the needs of the community” they are looking for feedback about French services offered by the municipality to better understand “opportunities, challenges and successes” related to the current policy.
Residents and community partners are invited to provide input by completing a survey on the City’s engagement platform at overtoyou.greatersudbury.ca between now and Oct. 20. Paper copies will be available at Greater Sudbury Public Library locations and the One-Stop Services counter, and residents may call 311 for assistance.
The full survey results will accompany the draft revised French language services policy when it is presented to council in November.
