Human Resources Manager

Maamwesying North Shore Community Health Services is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our Aboriginal Health organization focused on family and community health for Indigenous people. As the Human Resources Manager, you will be handling a broad range of Human Resource functions for approximately 100 employees such as recruiting, employee relations, compliance, health and safety, performance management, compensation and all human resource programs.

 The ideal candidate will have a Degree/Certificate in Human Resources Management.
 CHRP/CHRL Designation preferred
 A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Human Resources working with an Indigenous health or social services organization preferred.
 Strong knowledge of applicable legislation and current case law.
 Demonstrated ability to meet objectives and solve problems through strategic vision, critical thinking and team integration.
 Ability to handle multiple priorities with high attention to detail
 Demonstrated sensitivity to, and an understanding of the Aboriginal cultural values and Traditions will be essential to your success.
 Possess a valid driver’s license, safe driving record as demonstrated in a driver’s abstract and access to a reliable vehicle.

Given the traditional practices of Aboriginal people, from time to time exposure to smoke from the burning of sacred medicines such as tobacco, sweet grass, sage or cedar may occur.
