We celebrate the maple leaf flag’s 50th birthday this year. When he led the country, Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson advocated strongly for a flag of our own to replace the Union Jack.

51 years later our marriage still works (so far anyway)

Column: Books, books, books!

What are you reading? I read everything, whether it’s newspapers, poetry, letters – it doesn’t matter what it is. Books have always been my escape, my relaxation, my pastime, my solace. Books can be found everywhere in my home.
