I Was Just Wondering: Do you go commando?

What would be best – dog booties or bare paws? I was wondering about this because I like the idea of booties, but going foot-commando is fantastic.

My mom bought me a set of booties so that I wouldn’t get snowballs stuck in my toe hairs. My mom really loves me! I also don’t like pine sap stuck between my claws.

The fact that it took my mom 20 minutes to put my booties on was a bit of a downer, since her impatient sighs were aimed directly at my face.

With booties, my paws stay warm, dry and clean, but going commando is wonderful, since the grass feels great, and it’s so easy to run around.

Licking and cleaning the snow and sap from my paws does keep me busy and keeps me from snacking on other things —  although, it is time consuming and cuts into my nap time a lot.

So, I was just wondering, what is your preference, booties or commando?

“I Was Just Wondering” is a Sunday feature on Sudbury.com from Finn, a Brussels griffon breed of dog, and his “mom”, Jaana Pirnes. Come back next week to see what Finn is up to. Got a question for Finn? You can email him at [email protected].
