Learn to Ski or Snowboard at Adanac

Participants enrolled in weeknight, weekend and holiday programs will progress through a series of stages, developing essential skiing and snowboarding skills along the way.  All lessons are taught by Canadian Ski Instructor Alliance (CSIA) and Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructor (CASI) certified staff. Students will be grouped by age and ability for lessons in skiing or snowboarding during the first class.
 

Kinder Ski and Kinder Snowboard Lessons:

Kids 6 and under will receive a 55 minute one on one lesson which includes half day rentals (skis & boots or snowboard & boots) Adanac now features a Kinder lesson area for skiing and snowboarding using a variety of terrain and fun features.

All students taking a lesson receive a ticket which is valid for the carpet lift after their lesson. Lesson tickets and rentals can be upgraded to a full day or a chair lift ticket for a fee. Participants register in person at Adanac or call 705-688-3969. *Dates and times are based on the availability of instructors.*

Group Ski and Snowboard Programs (ages 4-14)

Children will be grouped by age and ability for lessons in skiing or snowboarding. Register early, enrolment is limited. Fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. Register online. A minimum of four (4) people per group is required.
 

Winter Holiday 4 Day Fun Camps (ages 7 to 14)

Program consists of 4 days of holiday fun while students are learning and improving skiing and snowboarding abilities. Students are placed in groups of the same skill level according to their age and their experience. Lunch periods are supervised, but children must supply their own food and beverages.
 

The Mini Vikings skier’s development (ages 4 to 6 years old):

Program consists of 8 consecutive 55-minute lessons, Sunday afternoons and Friday nights in January and February. These group lessons allow toddlers to have fun with new friends while learning and improving their skiing abilities. Students are placed in groups of the same skill level according to their age and their experience. A minimum of four (4) people per
group is required.
 

The Mini Shredders Snowboarder development (ages 4 to 6 years old):

Program consists of 8 consecutive 55 minute lessons, Sunday afternoons and Friday nights in January and February. These group lessons allow toddlers to have fun with new friends while learning and improving their snowboarding abilities. Students are placed in groups of the same skill level according to their age and their experience. A minimum of four (4) people per group is required. It is possible that a student change groups during the season, according to his/her progression
and the caliber of the group.


Exploration 1-2-3, Adventure 1-2-3, Performance 1-2-3

These group lessons allow young skiers (beginners, intermediate, or advanced) to develop new friendships, to discover different facets of the ski hill, and to be able to take on new challenges in order to improve their skiing abilities. For those who are older or more experienced, these group lessons also allow them to learn and improve the techniques of the sport with the help of our more experienced instructors. Students are placed in groups of the same caliber according to their
age and experience. Programs consist of four (4), 2 hour group lessons.
 

Quickride Snowboard Rider Improvement Program (ages 7 to 14):

These group lessons allow young boarders (beginners, intermediate, or advanced) to develop new friendships, to discover new facets of the ski hill, and to take on new challenges in order to improve their snowboarding abilities. For those who are more experienced, these group lessons also allow them to learn and to improve the techniques of the sport with the help of our more experienced snowboard instructors. Students are placed in groups of the same caliber according to their age and experience Programs consist of four (4), 2 hour group lessons.
 

Freestyle Friday (ages 7 and up)

If you are passionate about freestyle snowboarding and want to improve your skills, Adanac Snow School has the certified
instructors to get you there quicker than you thought possible. Whatever your reason for wanting to reach the next level, personal or competitive, Freestyle Friday are group lessons tailored to help you surpass your goals and have the best season of your life! A minimum of four (4) people per group required.
 

Adanac Apprenticeship Program for Ages 14+

The Adanac Apprenticeship Program is for youth who are looking to become instructors. Apprentices will be prepared to
take their level one certification in this 4 week session focused on technical, on snow skill development and introduction to teaching theory as it relates to the beginner skier and snowboarder. Participants must be 14 years of age and have advanced riding abilities.
 

March Break Fun Camps (ages 7 to 14)

Program consist of 5 days of March Break fun while learning and improving their skiing and snowboarding abilities. Students are placed in groups of the same skill level according to their age and their experience. Lunch periods are supervised, but children must supply their own food and beverages.
 

One Day Fun Camps

Choose from individual days of holiday fun while students are learning and improving skiing and snowboarding abilities. Students are placed in groups of the same skill level according to their age and experience. Lunch periods are supervised, but children must supply their own food and beverages.
