Most women start breastfeeding, and the Sudbury & District Health Unit can help you continue by:

- answering your questions

- supporting you to reach your goals

- offering one-on-one infant feeding help from a professional

To access this free breastfeeding service, call the Health Unit to set up an appointment:

Breastfeeding support group

Meet other moms and have your questions answered! Topics can range from breastfeeding your newborn, returning to work, introduction of solids, and managing challenges. Face-to-face groups are currently running in Minnow Lake and Espanola.


Sudbury Location:

Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month

1 to 3 p.m.
 

Espanola location:

A.B. Ellis Public School

Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month

9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
 

A Breastfeeding Companion – ABC program


Have a trained volunteer mentor you over the phone. They will call you at home according to your schedule. They can answer your questions, support you and get you in touch with the right services.
