Well-known former hairstylist Frank Marasco is headed to trial in November on one of two sexual assault charges.

Defence lawyer Michael Lacy, who is representing Marasco, said in an email to Sudbury.com the second charge, a historical allegation, is expected to be dealt with “in a way that did not involve criminal adjudication.”

“No date has been set to finalize how the matter will be dealt,” said Lacy.

The trial on the first charge will last two days, starting Nov. 3 in B Court. The second day will be Nov. 5 in C Court.

There is a publication ban on the name of the complainants on both charges.

Marasco was charged in December 2019 with the first count of sexual assault. The second assault charge was laid in late 2020 and dates back to 1978.

Marasco once owned A Touch of Class, a salon on Loach's Road in Sudbury's south end.
