Reflexology with Katelyn

What is reflexology?

As defined by the Reflexology Association of Canada (RAC), reflexology is the study of the reflexes. Reflexology Therapies are natural therapeutic methods derived from this study based on the principle that there are reflexes in the body that map to other parts, glands, and organs of the body.

Broken down in different terms:

Reflexology is the use of pressure work of specific zones and reflexes on the feet, hands, or ears. These reflexes and areas relate to different parts, glands, and organs of the entire body and can benefit a person's health and wellness.

Though Reflexology is able to support the body in its ability to function optimally, this practice is not used to diagnose or treat for specific conditions. Rather, reflexology can be a way to support the entire body in finding balance and wellness. Reflexology can be paired with other treatments and wellness routines to bring about overall wellness and mindfulness.

It is a great way to treat your body to some rest and repair, rather than the endless go-go-go of our day to day routines.

What can reflexology do?

Reflexology therapy can:

  • Relieve tension
  • Improve circulation
  • Support the body’s efforts to function optimally
